John Hess, Regional Service Coordinator, CFA Panelist: History of Campus Organizing John Hess taught for many years at San Francisco State University and was a lecturer activist first in the University Professors of CA (AFT) and then in the California Faculty Association (NEA, CTA, SEIU) after it became the exclusive agent for the faculty in the CSU. Now he works for CFA; working with the CFA Lecturers' Council is one of his assignments.
