Beth Winters, San Jose City College
Beth Winters, a member of the Collective Bargaining Committee for the SJECCD Faculty Association, is also the Coordinator of the Labor Studies Program at San Jose City College, a position she has held since l998. She has taught Labor Studies as a part time instructor since l995, and brings to the position over 20 years of experience as a Field Representative/Worksite Organizer for Service Employees International Union, SEIU. Beth supplements her part-time status by working at the San Jose Public Library as an Adult Services and Training Librarian, where she teaches Basic Internet classes to Seniors and other adults and has been cited as "The best trainer in the library." Volunteer efforts include chairing the Animal Advisory Commission to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors and participating in political campaigns for local candidates and issues. |
