I also have developed a side line that some of you can also do. Not only does it work teaching dance, art, music, PE, but foreign languages, history, biology, astronomy (it is dark out at sea and the stars are very bright), archeology, memoir writing, etc. I teach dancing courses through my colleges on cruise ships which travel the world. I run it like a class on land-but need to attract my students and set everything up through a travel agent that specializes in group cruises and can give me outstanding 1/2 prices. If I find 20 people to go, I can go free and get paid by the college to teach the course.
I have done 2 cruises to Alaska, both Eastern and Western Caribbean, Panama Canal, Mediterranean, and now I'm going to Russia and Scandinavia in June (10th -20th) and Hawaii in Sept. (8-15th) You can come too-but let me know soon. Prices per person double occupancy start at $1229 and include airfare from CA, port charges, taxes, transfers from the airport, all meals, etc. Russia and Scandinavia prices start at $1700 for the ten day trip. These are all double occupancy, but if you are a single, I have people looking for roomys. Also have a Country/Western Line dance class going to Branson, MO, May 15 for one week, 11 shows, etc. Please contact me soon-some categories are already filled, and I can show you how you can do this with your students and subject as an adjunct too.
